WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF LIFE?
Ever wondered why you exist? Everyone who has ever lived has probably asked the same question.
The Bible gives us the purpose of life, and says that we are created to experience God in a personal way. It also says that this personal relationship guarantees that after death you will spend an eternity with Him.
‘’I am always aware of the Lord’s presence; He is near, and nothing can shake me.’’ Psalm 16:8 (Good News Translation)
‘’Day and night I’ll stick with God; I’ve got a good thing going and I’m not letting go. I’m happy from the inside out, and from the outside in, I’m firmly formed. You cancelled my ticket to hell— that’s not my destination.” Psalm 16:8-10 (Message Translation)
WHAT IS CHRISTIANITY & WHO IS JESUS?
Christianity is about having a personal relationship with God through his Son Jesus Christ. Through the sin of Adam the relationship with man and God was severed until Jesus came to earth to restore our relationship back with God.
The Bible gives us the purpose of life, and says that we are created to experience God in a personal way. It also says that this personal relationship guarantees that after death you will spend an eternity with Him. Jesus said:
“I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”
John 10:10
Most people think that Christianity is going to church regularly, but it’s much more than that –it’s knowing God personally and becoming his friend. This can only happen by accepting that Jesus is God’s Son and asking him to forgive you of your sin of rejecting him up until this time. If you really believe in your heart that Jesus is the Son of God and that He died for your sin, then pray this prayer. When you do,
you too will experience God’s forgiveness and love.
PRAY:
"God I believe that your son Jesus died for my sin and I ask you to forgive me of my sin and come into my life right now."
This simple heartfelt prayer will guarantee you the beginning of an eternal relationship with God.
Now look at these scriptures which confirm that you now have a relationship with God. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
John 3:16
The jailer of the Apostle Paul asked the question:
“Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.” Acts 16:30-31
Jesus answered a similar question to one of his disciples.
Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?” Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. John 14:5-6
